SAME MISSION. NEW METHOD

Jeff Simmons speaking to a small group of young professionals.

EDGE Mentoring has been forming young professionals since 2007. What changed is not what we believe about leadership, but how we develop it.

WHY THIS EXISTS

EDGE Mentoring was founded in 2007. EDGE soon grew into one of the largest mentorship organizations in the country.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • Leadership is stewardship, not ownership.

Influence is entrusted. Authority is service.

  • Skill without character compounds the wrong thing.

More capability given to a leader without self-awareness scales a problem rather than solving one.

  • A leader who cannot hear hard truth cannot be developed.

This is the strongest predictor in the feedback literature.

  • A program that will not measure itself is asking you to take its word for it.

  • Luke Dooley

    Executive Director, EDGE

Luke has spent more than a decade building leadership-formation organizations. He led OCEAN Programs and directed Q Commons and Leadercast, and co-founded BANDED, a peer community for entrepreneurial leaders. At EDGE he owns vision, product direction, and sponsor and funder relationships.

  • Jeff Simmons

    Founder and Board Chair

Jeff is president and chief executive of Elanco Animal Health (NYSE: ELAN). He led Elanco's 2018 spinout from Eli Lilly onto the New York Stock Exchange, and across fifteen years at the helm has tripled the company in size and completed twelve acquisitions. He founded EDGE Mentoring in 2007.

  • Tom Bratton

    Board Member

Tom is founder and chief executive of Medallion Partners, a leadership and talent firm he has built since 2006 serving hundreds of companies. He created CareerTruth, the methodology now inside the EDGE curriculum. Medallion is EDGE's content and assessment partner.

  • Sean Conlon

    Board Member

Sean is founder and chief executive of 25|29 Ventures, a holding company operating businesses across six industries. His core work is forming leaders, through coaching and a weekday devotional he has written without a break for six years.

  • Paul Hillen

    Advisor

Paul is chief executive of The Vine Group and a customer-focused P&L leader with more than 35 years across Procter & Gamble, Cargill, Brenntag, Heartland Food Products, and Revier. He advises EDGE on strategy and go-to-market.
